Yep. That's how we get our water every week. Fill the five gallon buckets and carry them to the house to use for drinking and dishes..... no flush toilet It really makes you appreciate how much water you use in your daily routines.
You may be asking "Where did this Cripple Creek Chronicles stuff come from anyway?" It stems from two sources. First, it's the name of the subdivision Becky and I live in. It's a quite little neighborhood on the outskirts of Fairbanks with road names like Mandolin, Violin, Opry, Dulcimer and Bluegrass Dr. You get the idea. We live on Bluegrass Dr. where our two huskies (Charlie and Riga) frolic in the woods chasing squirrels and grouse. The second reason for choosing Cripple Creek (if you like bluegrass music you would never have to ask this part) is that it's as classic as classic traditional bluegrass songs get. So there you have it. Enjoy the readings and be sure to check back every few weeks for new postings.
